2019 United States Mint & Royal Canadian Mint Pride of Two Nations 2-Coin Set

The United States Mint (USM) and the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) partnered to bring collectors around the world the product of the first ever collaboration between the two giants of numismatics, a limited-edition two-coin set featuring an iconic coin from each issuing nation.

Not only is the set itself an incredible numismatic first, but the coins contained within are also exciting firsts! The set contains two never before seen finishes in either of the iconic series: an Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver Eagle and a Modified Proof Silver Maple!

This set which features a historic partnership between the United States Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint, never-before seen finished in two immensely popular series, and a limited mintage, will have collectors eagerly awaiting their chance to snatch up this momentous set.

First-Ever Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver American Eagle

First-Ever Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver American Eagle

The United States Mint (USM) provided a 1 oz. .999 pure 2019 dated American Silver Eagle to this unprecedented, joint set. It will feature a never before seen finish in the series- an enhanced reverse proof finish! This Silver Eagle was minted at the esteemed West Point Mint and bears its "W" mint mark on the

Adolph Weinman's classic Walking Liberty design features on the obverse of the American Silver Eagle. Liberty strides confidently towards a new day. The American Flag wraps around her shoulders as she carried boughs of laurel and oak in her left hand, her right arm opened to the new day

Now, the classic Silver Eagle design can be brought to your collection with an exciting twist! The enhanced reverse proof finish allows the quintessential obverse and reverse to be seen in a new light. The effect of the finish allows for frosted, semi-frosted, and mirrored portions of the design, creating a truly striking version of a classic American coin.

First-Ever Modified Proof Silver Maple Leaf

First-Ever Modified Proof Silver Maple Leaf

The Royal Canadian Mint contributed a 1 oz. .9999 fine silver Maple leaf to this collaborative set. This addition to the set also marks a BIG first for the neighboring Mint to the north- the first ever Modified Proof finish Silver Maple leaf!

What some may not know is that the Royal Canadian Mint does not mint simple Proof Silver Maple leafs. This is because in conjunction with their 1989 release of the First Ever, and eventually last, Proof Silver Maple leaf, they said they would never mint any other Proof Silver Maple Leafs ever again. Therefore, the RCM is calling this special release a "Modified Proof finish."

The obverse of the coin displays Susanna Blunt's effigy of Queen Elizabeth the II on a field of radial lines, while the reverse features the simply elegant Sugar Maple Leaf as designed by Walter Ott. Both faces of the coin feature perhaps one of the sets most stunning features, a gorgeous pattern of etched maple leaves transitioning to stars in the mirrored field of the coin, just below the rim of the obverse and reverse respectively.

Limited Mintage

The United States Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint jointly decided that a strict 110,000 set mintage be set for this product. Of the entire mintage, just 10,000 will be distributed by the Royal Canadian Mint with the rest being disseminated by the United States Mint.

This in effect creates one of the lowest mintage silver eagle set pedigrees ever released by the United States Mint!
