Sunshine Minting Silver Rounds
Sunshine Minting Inc. is a household name among bullion investors. Even if you aren’t much of a bullion buyer, you’ve probably heard of Sunshine Minting or SMI before. Bars and rounds from Sunshine Minting are always in demand due to the high quality of their products. Although SMI is a private mint, they are one of the very best and could compete with any mint in the world when it comes to quality. Sunshine Minting is based in Idaho, and has been in operation since 1979.
Mint Mark SI
The new security feature that has been added to all Sunshine Minting bullion products has been named Mint Mark SI. Mint Mark SI uses what they call a scrambled indicia. When you look at your bar or round without any special tools, the Mint Mark SI area will just look like a spot on your bar or round. However, when you use the decoder card to look at your round or bar, you will be able to see the word VALID. From another view with the decoder, you can see the sun. Previous products from SMI did not have this feature. Mint Mark SI will give you a new level of security if you decide to purchase SMI bullion, but with new security features like this, there’s never been a better time to!
.999 Fine Silver
These 1 Troy oz. silver rounds from SMI are .999 fine. That is the same level of fineness as the American Silver Eagle. Each of these rounds contains 1 full Troy oz. of silver. The vast majority of silver rounds on the market are .999 fine, but Sunshine Minting is a well-known company that other buyers and dealers won’t hesitate to purchase bullion from. This is a huge advantage over buying rounds from smaller private mints that don’t have the reputation for quality that SMI does.
Artwork and Appearance
Each fine silver round from SMI has a highly detailed flying eagle on the front. The eagle is in front of the sun and these rounds have a wonderful finish. The obverse reads SUNSHINE MINTING. This design is simple, yet still classy and impressive, especially for a silver round.
The reverse of the round is where the new Mint Mark SI feature is located. It can be found right in the middle of the reverse. Without the Mint Mark SI decoder, there just appears to be a dot at the center of the reverse. The backs of SMI silver rounds have the words ONE TROY OUNCE and 999 FINE SILVER. Also on the reverse is the sun with its rays once again.
With the new Mint Mark SI security feature and Sunshine Minting’s great reputation, take this opportunity to add some SMI silver rounds to your bullion stack today.

Who is SMI....too many acronyms.........
Sunshine Mint Inc. Our host has them for sale and a lot of times they have them for not much over spot. https://www.moderncoinmart.com/sunshine-minting-1-oz.-silver-round-made-in-usa.html The reverse has this circle. It won't be long before they have these in fake form. SMI has a lens you can buy to read the ' vaild ' water mark but lowest I've found for the lens is $15 - $20
I wish I could use MCM more then I do but them being in FL. I have to pay state tax and I hate paying taxes of any kind.
We gotta watch each others back!
