Silver
Silver Coins, Bars, and Rounds
The intrinsic value of silver has been recognized for thousands of years by both ancient and modern cultures throughout the world. First used as a currency in 700 B.C., today's silver bullion rounds, bars and collectible coins have retained their legendary luster and are among the most treasured - and most affordable - of all precious metal coinage.
For stackers, silver's an important component of a diversified portfolio. Not tied to fiat currency, silver has historically increased in value with inflation while providing security in times of economic downturn.
At MCM we offer a lowest price guarantee, a large selection of silver items and free domestic shipping, making us the go to resource for buying silver online.

Buying Silver Online
Silver can be purchased in the form of silver coins, silver bars, and silver rounds, each with unique characteristics that influence their value.
Silver Coin
Silver coins are collectible, selling for prices above the value of their silver content alone due to their design, scarcity, condition and demand. The design and subject of the coins can sometimes be major factors in driving demand. Collectible silver coins are typically minted with a face value backed from a sovereign government, but are not typically circulated as currency since their condition impacts their value.
The highest quality silver coins are known as proof coins with the highest grade being 70. If you're looking for flawless or near-perfect Silver Eagles, Chinese Silver Pandas, Australian Silver Kookaburras, Silver Britannias or other World Coins, you'll find that we have a large number that have been officially documented by one of the two leading independent grading services in the world: Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS).
MCM offers silver coins from the world's leading, long-established mints, including Britain's Royal Mint, the Royal Canadian Mint, Australia's Royal And Perth Mints, China's Mint, Austria's Mint and of course, the United States Mint, as well as Many Others.
You'll find we offer a wide range of the latest popular issues, as well as hard-to-find specialty editions - including contemporary Asian lunar calendar coins ... limited new releases with intricate colorized images ... and officially licensed issues featuring today's most sought-after pop culture characters.
Looking for coins with a little more history? No problem - our extensive selection also includes scarce historic coins, vintage mint issues and hard-to-find proof sets still in their original government packaging. You may even discover pure silver collector-grade versions of the coins you're used to seeing in your pocket change!
Silver Bars
A favorite of silver stackers, Silver Bars cost less over the silver spot price than collectible silver coins and are stamped with the bars silver content, fineness and a serial number, making it a safe and cost effective way to own physical silver. Silver bullion bars are also easy to stack, store, count and transfer. Silver bars are available in sizes ranging from 1 gram to more than 1 kilo, with the most common being the 1 oz. silver bars.
Silver Rounds
Sharing similarities with silver coins and silver bars, Silver Rounds are circular and minted with detailed designs but typically lack the collectible value of silver coins. Unlike silver coins, silver rounds have no face value and are not recognized as legal tender. Silver bullion rounds, like bars, tend to sell for prices closer to the current silver spot price than coins.
