Why add this 1903 Morgan Silver Dollar NGC MS64 to your collection?
This 1903 Morgan Silver Dollar is an attractive option for collectors who like to collect Morgans that are in good condition while avoiding the sharp uptick in premiums that come at the top of the Sheldon scale. This coin’s grade of MS64, which it received from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), indicates that it has an even strike and good luster. While there may be a couple of moderately heavy contact marks and several smaller ones, along with a few other imperfections, it was deemed to have considerable eye appeal. Because 1903 Morgans graded MS65 and higher have considerably higher premiums, this piece is an excellent option. The image of Liberty on the obverse of the Morgan is a considerable departure from the ones used on other coinage, as previous depictions of her were Greek in style while this one is more American. On the reverse is an eagle that has its wings spread upward and outward. “IN GOD WE TRUST” is inscribed between them, and a laurel wreath runs under the eagle from just below each of its wings.
