Why add this 1893 Morgan Silver Dollar NGC AU55 to your collection?

This 1893 Morgan Silver Dollar provides you with an affordable option for getting a relatively scarce coin that remains in relatively good condition. Mint state 1893 Morgans are scarce and command considerably higher premiums, making this an attractive option for collectors looking for a medium between quality and price. Its grade of AU55, which was given to it by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), indicates that about three quarters of its original mint luster remains, and some other marks may be present. Collectors will appreciate the classic design of the piece, which was created by George T. Morgan in 1878. He used American Anna Willess Williams as his model for Liberty on the obverse, bringing about a change in depictions of the goddess from Greco-style, which has previously been the norm, to American-style. His design for the reverse also had both similarities with and distinctions from designs on other American coinage. While the design features an eagle holding arrows and an olive branch, just as on the Great Seal of the United States, it lacks the shield that appeared on the Seal and other coins. It also includes a wreath of laurel. Don’t miss your chance to add this hard to find Morgan to your collection.
