The design found on these rounds is based on a commemorative half dollar that was issued for the centennial anniversary of Texas's independence from Mexico.
Texas Centennial Commemorative Design
The obverse of each Texas Commemorative silver round is inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." The central portion of the design shows a perched eagle against the Texas lone star.
Victory is depicted on the reverse. She is pictured in front of the Alamo. This side of the round is inscribed with the silver content and "REMEMBER THE ALAMO."
