Featuring the Patriotic Eagle Landing Design of Emily Damstra
Obverse: On the obverse is the iconic Walking Liberty design of Adolph Weinman. The morning sun shines on Liberty as she carries laurel and oak branches. Her name, "LIBERTY," arches over the image, while other obverse inscriptions include the date, "2022," and the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST." Adolph Weinman is most famous for designing the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. In addition to these and other numismatic contributions, he also sculpted numerous works that remain on display in cities across America.
Reverse: The reverse features a design by Emily Damstra. An eagle carries an oak branch in its talons as it prepares to land. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR," and "1 OZ. FINE SILVER" are inscribed along the rim, while just inside those inscriptions is the statutory motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Emily Damstra graduated from the University of Michigan with her Master of Fine Arts degree. She has been contributing designs for coins since 2017.
