Why purchase this roll of twenty 2019-P Australian Silver Wedge-Tailed Eagle Brilliant Uncirculated coins?
The Perth Mint began production of its Wedge-Tailed Eagle series in 2014. Each release of the series has been minted with a reverse design created by former U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti honoring the Wedge-Tailed Eagle, Australia's largest bird of prey. 2019 represents the first time in the six year series that the reverse design was changed after only one year. These twenty 2019-P Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle coins are each struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver with a diameter measurement of 40.60 mm, and are counted among a mintage limited to only 50,000.
Dramatic Wedge-Tailed Eagle Imagery
The reverses depict a beautifully detailed Wedge-Tailed Eagle in flight, its talons posed in preparation to grasp unseen prey, against stylized rays of sun in the background. Inscribed "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE" and "2019 1 OZ 9999 SILVER," with the Perth Mint "P" to the left.
Each obverse features the newly designed effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by Jody Clark of The Royal Mint, encircled by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR."
