Why make this roll of ten Brilliant Uncirculated 2021 1 oz. Gold Austrian Philharmonic coins the next addition to your collection?
The Austrian Mint launched the Gold Vienna Philharmonic series in 1989. Denomination of the series transitioned from Austrian schillings to the Euro in 2002. The series' imagery is an homage to the grandeur of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, a prestigious musical ensemble recognized worldwide since its founding in 1842. Design for the series is credited to Thomas Pesendorfer, the Mint's Chief Engraver from 1993 until 2016. The series' distinctive musical instrument graphic is shared with the silver variety introduced in 2008 and the platinum variety introduced in 2016.
