All ten coins will arrive in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
Exquisite Tree Planting Design by Donna Weaver
The inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST" flank a portrait of President George Washington on the obverse. The portrait, which has appeared on American quarters since 1932, was designed by John Flanagan. Also inscribed on this face are the name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the coin's face value, "QUARTER DOLLAR."
The reverse design was created by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. A young girl is bending down to plant a Norway spruce seedling. The tree is a popular choice for Christmas trees. In the ground below the seedling is the inscription "LAND STEWARDSHIP." This is fitting since the park represented is the only American national park dedicated to the story of the history of conservation. The image is encircled by a rim frame in which there are four inscriptions, including the name of the park, "MARSH-BILLINGS-ROCKEFELLER," and the name of the state in which it is located, "VERMONT."
