Why add this Random Date Walking Liberty Half Dollar in Mint State 65 condition to your collection?

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar features one of the most iconic designs in numismatic history. It was designed by legendary sculptor and engraver Adolph A. Weinman. A version of it even appears on the reverse of the United States Mint’s American Silver Eagle series to this day. The design first appeared on 50 cent pieces in 1916 and would be used until 1947. It would be replaced by the Franklin Half Dollar design in 1948. Walking Liberty Half Dollars circulated during some pivotal moments in United States history including Prohibition, the Great Depression, and even World War II.

The date of the coin will be random and can be from any of the years the Walking Liberty Half Dollar was issued.

Iconic American Coin Design

The obverse features the Walking Liberty design which portrays Lady Liberty striding across the face of the coin, hand extended to the emerging dawn. She clasps olive branches representative of peace in her left hand. The inscriptions “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” and the date appear on this face. The reverse features a stylistic American Eagle perched as if about to take flight. The inscriptions “half dollar,” “United States of America,” and the motto, “E Pluribus Unum” appear on this face of the coin.

Certified by Either PCGS or NGC

While the coin is certified to be in Mint State 65 condition, you can receive a coin that has been graded by the third-party experts at either Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS).
