During this period, Tuscany was ruled by Ferdinand III who held the title of Grand Duke of Tuscany. Classic Italian portrait and shield
On the obverse, Ferdinand III Grand Duke of Tuscany is depicted. In this portrait he is facing the right. The edge of the design is filled with the inscriptions stating his name and abbreviations.
The design on the reverse shows a crowned shield. It is divided into a number of sections and each one features a different image. The crown on top of the shield is quite detailed as well.
