Why add a randomly dated Morgan Silver Dollar struck at the Carson City Mint to your collection?
George T. Morgan was Chief Engraver for the U.S. Mint from 1917-1925, but is recognized most for his Silver Dollar design introduced in 1878. The Morgan Dollar was struck annually until 1904, then for one additional year in 1921; however, the Carson City Mint only produced the coin in the years 1878-1885 and 1889-1893. The Morgan Dollar is struck from 0.7734 Troy oz. of .900 fine silver measuring 38.1 mm in diameter.
