Why order this Celluloid Over Tin Kirin Beer Japanese Sign?

In the wake of World War II, the United States and Japan, former enemies, began building a stronger relationship. That relationship still survives today. Two decades after the dark days of the interment of Japanese-Americans, Americans were building a strong trade relationship with Japan. Many were drinking Japanese beer. This sign advertises one such beer. This Kirin Beer sign is the kind that the brewery would have sent to bars and restaurants to advertise their products. The products were a win-win as both the brewery and the establishments sold more of the beer because of the signs.

Signs like this tended to be used heavily, which often meant that they were damaged. This one survived in Excellent condition. Made of celluloid over cardboard, the sign measures 10" x 6". This piece weighs about six ounces, making it easy to hang as part of a collection or as a single display piece. Signs like this one could be produced today and sold as vintage products. This sign comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Don't miss your chance to own this Celluloid Over Tin Japanese Kirin Beer Sign.
