Why Buy This BU Intaglio Mint 2 oz. Mercury Dime Design Silver Round?Silver rounds are often an economical and sometimes very stylish way to add silver to your stack. They can't be spent like a coin, but there are plenty to choose from. This 2 oz. silver round was struck by Intaglio Mint, which is a private Mint based in Colorado. It features a design that was based on the classic Mercury dime. It's made of .999 fine silver. Mercury Dime DesignThe original designs for the Mercury dime were the work of Adolph A. Weinman, who is also known for creating the designs found on the Walking Liberty half dollar. The obverse shows Liberty in a winged helmet. This side displays the date "1916." The reverse shows an olive branch and fasces. There are plenty of fine details to observe here, as well as a "D" Mint mark. If you're looking for the silver content, it's easy to miss. It's actually printed on the blade of the axe in very small characters. BU ConditionThis 2 oz. silver round has not been graded or encapsulated. It's in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, which is the same condition it was in when it left Intaglio Mint. Don't miss out, order this BU Intaglio Mint 2 oz. Mercury dime design silver round today. |
