Gold Walking Liberty Half Dollars

This beautiful 2016 commemorative coin borrows the original Walking Liberty design found on the popular Walking Liberty Silver Half Dollars. With only 477 million Silver Walking Liberty Halves ever minted, they continue to be a focus for many collectors. Now struck in gold, this commemorative is ready to shine in your collection! As the 3rd and final issue in the 2016 Gold Centennial Coin series, the U.S. Mint will honor the Walking Liberty Half Dollar designed by Adolph A. Weinman. This coin has been re-struck in 2016 as a legal tender Half Dollar out of 1/2 oz. of .9999 fine (24-karat) gold. Like the other coins in the series, a specimen finish has been applied giving the gold a matte appearance.
