Why add this 2016 $50 1 oz. Gold Buffalo NGC MS70 Early Releases (Buffalo Label) to your collection?
This 2016 1 oz. Gold Buffalo is quite literally the perfect way for you to share in the celebration of the Gold Buffalo’s tenth anniversary. The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that the coin is flawless by giving it the grade of MS70. They also noted that it is one the Early Releases, a designation given to coins that NGC received for grading within the first thirty days of the issuance of a coin. Those who love classic numismatic designs will love this coin, as it revives the images that first appeared on the nickel in 1913. One of those designs is the buffalo, which appears on the reverse. From the top of its head touching the edge on the left to its tail, which nearly touches the edge on the right, the creature’s massive size is well captured. On the ground under the animal, you can see two inscriptions, one of which provides the metal content, “1 OZ. .9999 FINE GOLD,” and the other the face value, “$50.” The obverse is dominated by the composite, right-side profile of a Native American man, which, like the buffalo, was created by James Earle Fraser. The detail in the face is truly remarkable and will make this piece stand out in your collection.
