Where can I buy one of these graded by NGC or PCGS?

I would prefer a vendor and not eBay.

    Thanks

I'm kicking myself not getting it on Apmex a few weeks ago at a fair price. David Lawerance has a nice selection just not that year. Im trying figure out what other low mintages to pick up.

David Lawrance is always a good place to look for something like this, if that doesn't satisfy you can try Heritage (HA.com) or Great Collections(greatcollections.com). If all that fails then you can always search for it on collectors.com

Let us know if you find what you are looking for. Good Hunting

https://www.mintstategold.com/ Barry Stuppler and Company. I have dealt with David and Barry before. They deal in high quality coins with eye appeal and charge a slight premium, but I'd say it is worth it. They don't have your coin today, but you can add them to your list to check with on occasion. Also you can call them and they have unlisted coins or they can get you a coin.
Barry Stuppler is an old timer well known in the numismatic field and David is his son.

OK to buy raw coins occasionally, but be careful.

IMG_0030.jpg I picked up a nice AU58 hat verified as authentic with ebay bucks it came down under 780.

So I open it up and see a nick on the slab. What should I do?

If you are referring to the long crack around the 1 to 1:30 area if must have been caused by shipping damage and possibly poor packaging if the crack was not visible in the picture given as a description for sale on e-bay. If it were my purchase I'd get a refund and the seller should pay return shipping. If you do a return, not as described, e-bay will e-mail you a return shipping label with tracking number. It is possible you could get into a shipping damage dispute, but I'd still get a refund if it were me. Now if you can live with a cracked holder, keep it.

The coin is nice, I was thinking refund or getting them to pay for the regrading.

Im posting one of the pics from the ad. I think the damage on the holder is there. Coin is great shape. I am going to send it to be slabbed again

The holder damage is there in photo you posted. A new holder does wonders for a coin. I wish I had experience in sending coins in for grading. Do you have a lot of experience at it. Is it hard to get into or expensive?

The slab is cracked on the listing photo too. Like you said it is a very attractive coin, I'd just send it in to get re-slabbed if the crack bothers you.
