Striking Emus Design by Sean Rogers
Obverse: This piece features the Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse. At the center is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing her Royal Diamond Diadem, which was designed by Jody Clark. Encircling the image is a rim frame that features inscriptions of the monarch's name, "ELIZABETH II," the dates of her reign, "1952-2022," the name of the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," and the face value of the coin, "1 DOLLAR." Jody Clark is a prolific coin designer known for his work with The Royal Mint.
Reverse: Sean Rogers designed the reverse, on which an adult emu tends to her chicks in the outback. The words "AUSTRALIAN EMU" are inscribed above. Below are inscriptions of the coin's date, "2023," and its weight and purity, "1 OZ 9999 SILVER." Sean Rogers is a graphic designer.
