These are not federal reserve notes, but Military Payment Certificates. Like federal reserve notes they were printed by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. These certificates were issued to U.S. Military personnel stationed in Vietnam. They could only be used on U.S. Military bases. The certificates in this set have face values of $10, $5, $1, 50 cents, 25 cents, 10 cents, and 5 cents. Classic Series 641 U.S. Military Payment CertificatesWhile the designs vary from denomination to denomination, the fractional notes share similarities and the dollar notes also have similarities. However, each one generally features the portrait of a woman on the obverse along with the series and serial number. The reverse designs also vary from note to note as expected.
