Why make this 24 karat Aurum Gold Foil 50 Utah Goldback Brilliant Uncirculated Note the next addition to your collection of precious metals?
Authorized by the Utah Legal Tender Act of 2011, the Utah Goldback is a circulating voluntary currency minted from 24 karat gold. It is accepted by certain businesses in the state of Utah. The Goldback series features five denominations, the largest being this 50 Utah Goldback Aurum note containing 1/20 Troy oz. of .999 fine gold. Each note possesses high resolution colorized imagery inspired by goddesses of Roman mythology. Aurum is created by an innovative manufacturing process which seals a thin layer of vaporized gold between two sheets of protective polyester film.
Exquisite Depiction of Liberty
The obverse features an image of Libertas, the Roman goddess of Liberty. She is portrayed standing in a rural landscape, surrounded by flora and fauna, holding aloft a chalice to symbolize hope in Christ and a torch to represent knowledge and enlightenment. Inscriptions include "FIFTY UTAH GOLDBACKS," "VOLUNTARY LOCAL CURRENCY" and "1/20 TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD."
The note's innovative production process results in the appearance of a matte-like mirror image of the obverse design on the reverse.
