Why order this 5-Piece Set U.S. Proof 1994-1998 Coins Set Green Box Collection?
U.S Mint Proof Sets are extremely popular among collectors who admire the designs of America's circulated coinage. The sets include each of the coins issued for circulation in a given year. The 1994-1998 sets are particularly attractive since they are the only ones ever issued with green packaging. They also have much lower mintages than more recent sets, with about two million of each issued.
Classic Presidential Portrait Designs
The obverse designs of the coins in these sets are familiar to any American who is old enough to remember the coinage of the time. In fact, some of the designs remain in place today. Each one bears the portrait of a beloved American president. The coins include the Lincoln Cent, the Jefferson Nickel, the Roosevelt Dime, the Washington Quarter, and the Kennedy Half Dollar. All of the presidents are shown in profile, with only Lincoln facing right.
The reverse of the coins vary widely. The penny and the nickel feature buildings, the former the Lincoln Memorial and the latter Thomas Jefferson's famous home, Monticello. The dime bears a torch between two branches, while the quarter features an eagle perched on arrows. The Presidential Seal serves as the half dollar's reverse.

The U.S mint began releasing annual proof sets in 1936 that included one proof of each coin that was struck for circulation that year. The practice continues to this day with many collectors considering the annual proof set a ‘must get’ every year.
The United States Mint Proof Coins represent the finest coinage specimens produced in terms of overall quality and eye appeal. A proof coin is a specially made coin distinguished by sharpness of detail, usually with brilliant mirror-like surfaces.
