Description
Why Choose This 5 oz. SilverTowne Buffalo Design Silver Bar?
This silver bar was struck by SilverTowne Mint, a private Mint located in Indiana. SilverTowne has been in business since 1949, but their Mint began operating in 1973. The silver bar shown here features a Buffalo nickel replica design and weighs 5 troy oz. It is made of .999 fine silver.
Replica of Fraser’s Classic Work
The design of the Buffalo nickel was the work of James Earle Fraser. It was used for the first time in 1913. The front of this bar shows a Native American, much like the one depicted on the Buffalo nickel. Just below this the silver weight and purity are inscribed.
The background of the bar’s reverse is filled with a pattern of intersecting diagonal lines. A buffalo design inspired by Fraser’s work can be seen on this side. The buffalo features a high level of detail.
Sealed in Plastic
This bar is still sealed in plastic. The plastic will provide additional protection during storage. It can be stored in a variety of places. Personal safes, safety deposit boxes and other dry areas with a controlled temperature are all viable options.
