The Intaglio Mint’s Zombie Zodiac series features imagery born from an extraordinary and bizarre blending of two entirely unrelated themes, the Zombies of an imagined post-apocalyptic era and the twelve signs of the zodiac as referenced in Western astrology. This exciting set is comprised of four out of the twelve releases of the Zombie Zodiac series. The astrological symbols honored in the set include Aries the Ram (March 21-April 19), Libra the Scales (September 23-October 22), Capricorn the Goat (December 22-January 19) and Aquarius the Water-Bearer (January 21-February 18).

Incredibly Detailed Zombie Zodiac Imagery
Obverse: The obverse of the rounds are each formatted in a similar style, featuring a background of interrupted concentric circles scattered with stars, the name of the zodiac sign below, and its corresponding astrological symbol above. The Aries round obverse depicts the face of a zombified half man, half ram, with a rose blooming at its neck. A blindfolded skull is illustrated on the obverse of the Libra round, with a sword penetrating its forehead. The guard of the sword serves as the beam balance of Libra’s scale, with pans suspended from chains on each arm. The Capricorn tribute round obverse is adorned with a zombie Sea Goat, featuring massive horns, a saw tooth fin and the coiling tail of a fish. The fish-tailed goat interpretation of the Capricorn astrological sign represents the battle against fear and the monster within. On the round dedicated to Aquarius, a zombie woman with wild, windblown hair is depicted clutching a clay water vessel with skeletal hands.
Common Reverse: The comprehensive set of twelve astrological signs of the zodiac, along with their star constellation patterns appear on the reverse, interspersed between the rays of a stylized sun graphic. The sun is rendered with a dual face, featuring both the sun and a crescent moon, each illustrated with an eerie, zombified skeletal visage. Inscriptions include “ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER” and “INTAGLIO MINT.”
