Secure this PCGS-certified Mint State 70 First Strike set of flag labeled Burnished 2021-W, 2022-W, and 2023-W American Silver Eagle coins for your collection.
Why does this impeccably graded First Strike three-piece set of 2021-2023 Burnished American Silver Eagle coins belong in your collection?
The American Silver Eagle with a burnished (uncirculated) was introduced by the U.S. Mint in 2006 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the popular silver dollar series. In 2021, in celebration of the series' 35th Anniversary, the Mint instituted the first major design change to the Silver Eagle. The Type-2 style is characterized by an interpretation of an eagle preparing to land on the reverse.
- This beautifully assembled three-coin set includes one 2021-W, one 2022-W and one 2023-W American Silver Eagle coin.
- The trio of coins represents the first three releases of the Type-2 variety Silver Eagle with a satin-like burnished finish.
- Each coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
- Each 40.60 mm diameter coin is a product of the West Point Mint.
- The design of the Silver Eagle Type-2 coin includes an innovative interrupted reeded edge to combat counterfeiting.
- Each U.S. legal tender one-dollar denomination coin in the set is perfectly graded.
- Each coin features a handsome American flag-themed First Strike certification label.
Stunning Silver Eagle Design
Obverse: The obverse features Lady Liberty walking towards the rising sun with her arm outstretched in a welcoming gesture while draped in the flag of the United States. The young woman carries a bouquet of oak and laurel branches, which are regarded as symbols of strength, honor, and triumph. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the date "2021," 2022," or "2023." This timeless image created by renowned early 20th-century medallic sculptor Adolph A. Weinman is borrowed from the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. The artist's "AW" monogram appears beneath the motto.
Reverse: On the reverse, an eagle is depicted in flight with its wings majestically lifted to slow its descent. Surrounding inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "ONE DOLLAR," along with the "W" Mint mark. The amazingly lifelike Type-2 eagle landing image is credited to U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Emily Damstra.
