Why purchase this flawless First Releases three-piece set of 2021, 2022, and 2023 Burnished American Silver Eagle coins?
The U.S. Mint launched the American Silver Eagle series in 1986. In 2006, in celebration of the series' twentieth anniversary, the Mint introduced the coin with a satin-like burnished (uncirculated) finish. In commemoration of the thirty-fifth anniversary milestone of the series in 2021, the Mint modified the design of the coin for the first time ever. This extraordinary three-piece set of Silver Eagle coins is comprised of the first three consecutive releases of the Type-2 style with the sleek burnished finish.
- Each American Silver Eagle coin in this three-piece set is a product of the West Point Mint, struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
- The 2021, 2022, and 2023 dated coins represent the first three burnished releases of the series to be minted with the Type-2 style.
- Each coin measures 40.60 mm in diameter.
- The coins are crafted with a counterfeit deterrent interrupted reeded edge design.
- The silver dollars were each awarded the desirable First Releases designation.
- ModernCoinMart's exclusive eagle-style label is included with each perfectly graded coin.
Sensational Imagery of the American Silver Eagle
Obverse: The obverse is adorned with an allegorical interpretation of liberty. Lady Liberty is elegantly enveloped in an American flag as she strolls towards a new day's sun while carrying an oak and laurel branch bouquet. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the issue date of "2021,""2022," or "2023." The "AW" monogram beneath the motto is a reference to acclaimed early 20th-century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, who originally created the patriotic design for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: The reverse is graced with the image of an eagle just moments prior to landing, with its wings in an uplifted pose. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the "W" Mint mark. The Type-2 eagle landing design is the work of Emily Damstra, a renowned science and nature illustrator who has been a member of the U.S. Mint's Artistic Infusion Program since 2014.
