The Bureau of Engraving and Printing issued the set in commemoration of the centennial anniversary of the end of a conflict so bloody that it became known as "the war to end all wars." The set consists of three notes. They include an engraved commemorative print of the reverse of the Series 1918 $2 Federal Reserve Note and two series 2013 $2 notes that have matching serial numbers that start with "2018." One of the Series 2013 notes comes from the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, and the other comes from the Federal Reserve Bank in New York. The set comes in its original packaging from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Classic Battleship New York Design

The reverse Series 1918 commemorative engraved print features a vignette of the Battleship New York. The battleship had a rich history, serving in both World Wars before being used in nuclear testing after World War II. It was sunk in target practice in 1948 after winning several awards. The face value of the note is included in the corners.

The other two notes feature the Series 2013 designs. The two notes share the same designs. On the obverse is a portrait of President Thomas Jefferson. The reverse bears an image of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
