Why order this 3-Piece 1909 Indian Head and Lincoln Cent Set?

1909 was an important year for the penny in the United States. In fact, several variations were struck. It was the last year of the Indian Head Cent and the first of the Lincoln Cent. The latter went through multiple iterations. This set consists of an Indian Head Cent and two Lincoln Cents. One of the Lincoln Cents includes the initials of its designer, "VDB" (Victor D. Brenner) at the base of the reverse design, and the other does not. All three pieces were struck at the Philadelphia Mint.

Classic President Abraham Lincoln Design by Victor D. Brenner

The two Lincoln Cents features the same designs. On the obverse is Victor D. Brenner's left-side portrait of President Abraham Lincoln. The effigy remains on American pennies to this day. "ONE CENT" and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" are inscribed in large letters on the reverse. They are flanked by wheat stalks.

The Indian Head Cent was designed by James Longacre. The obverse features a young Indian princess, whom Longacre modeled off of Venus Accroupie, a statue that was then housed in a museum in Philadelphia. She is known as an Indian Princess due to her feathered headdress. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "1909" are inscribed along the rim. On the reverse, the coin's face value, "ONE CENT," is encircled by a wreath and a union shield.

Well Preserved XF

All of the coins in this set are in Extremely Fine condition. That means that the coins have some light wear, but any such wear is limited exclusively to the high points.
