Why Order This MS70 First Day of Issue 2022 American Silver Eagle Set with Black Core Slabs and Gaudioso, Damstra, and Ryder Signed Labels?
The American Silver Eagle is one of the most well-known coins in production today. The first of these coins were struck by the U.S. Mint in 1986. In 2021, which was the 35th anniversary of the series, we were given the first major design change of the series with the introduction of the Type 2 reverse which replaced the Type 1 design part way through the year. The set offered here includes three bullion Silver Eagles, all of them were struck for 2022. Each coin in this set achieved the top grade, Mint State 70 and was paired with a certification label signed by either the reverse engraver Michael Gaudioso, the reverse designer Emily Damstra, or David Ryder, the recently retired United States Mint Director who oversaw this major transition in the series.
Patriotic American Designs
Obverse: The obverse of each coin features a classic design that was first used for the half dollar in the early 1900s, Walking Liberty. This design is the work of Adolph A. Weinman and it shows Liberty in stride against the horizon. She has one arm extended while the stars and stripes flow around her. The obverse of Type 2 Silver Eagles include Weinman's artist initials, "AW" for the first time in the history of the series.
Reverse: This side of each coin shows the Eagle Landing design that was introduced in mid-2021 when it replaced the Type 1. The new reverse was designed by Emily Damstra and engraved by Michael Gaudioso. The design shows a bald eagle flying with an oak branch in its talons as it starts to position its wings to land.

One of these 2022 Silver Eagles was graded by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and has a label signed by Emily Damstra, the designer of the Type 2 Reverse. Two of them were certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC). One of these was signed by Michael Gaudioso, the engraver of the Type 2 reverse. The other was signed by David J.
