Why Order This MS63 Toned 1885-O Great Montana Collection 3 Piece Morgan Silver Dollar Set?
Before the Peace silver dollar went into circulation, the U.S. Mint was striking Morgan silver dollars. These coins were minted annually from 1878 through 1904 and then again for a single year in 1921. There are 3 coins in the set offered here. All 3 of them are Morgan dollars struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1885. While there were 9,185,000 of these minted, the coins in this set stand out because of their toning and the fact that they came from the Great Montana Collection.
Patriotic Obverse and Reverse Designs by Morgan
If you're looking for the date, it can be found on the obverse of each coin near the bottom of the design. This side depicts Liberty with wavy hair and a cap. This is a George T. Morgan design.
Morgan created the design for the reverse as well. A bald eagle with arrows and an olive branch can be seen here. It's partially surrounded by a wreath and pushing its chest out.
MS63 Toned CPCR 0056
The coins in this set were certified by the experts at the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. Each one is in uncirculated condition and was awarded the grade of Mint State 63.
