Why purchase this Brilliant Uncirculated 25 Utah Goldbacks Aurum Gold Foil Note?
The Utah Goldbacks are a form of voluntary local circulating precious metal currency authorized by the Utah Legal Tender Act of 2011. Recognized as voluntary local currency only throughout the state of Utah, and accepted by certain businesses in the state, the Goldbacks notes are created from Aurum. Aurum is a durable gold foil product manufactured by applying a thin layer of 24 karat gold to a thin sheet of polyester that has been inked with note's design, followed by a final polyester layer to completely encapsulate the gold. This 25 Utah Goldback note contains 1/40 Troy oz. of .999 fine gold.
Beautiful Vintage Style Imagery
The Roman goddess of Victory, Victoria, is depicted standing on the obverse wearing a sash inscribed with "VOTES COUNTING SINCE 1870." Victoria is portrayed as a suffragette beside a bicycling child, grasping a sheaf of wheat representing victory and an American flag to symbolize liberty and freedom. Additional inscriptions include "TWENTY-FIVE UTAH GOLDBACKS," "VOLUNTARY LOCAL CURRENCY" and "1/40 TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD."
The reverse is blank, featuring the ghosted mirror image of the obverse design due to the note's unique minting method.
