Why does this flawless First Strike 2023-W Burnished American Silver Eagle coin belong in your collection?

The burnished (uncirculated) variety of the American Silver Eagle was first issued by the U.S. Mint in 2006 in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the popular silver dollar series. The satiny finished burnished variant features the same patriotic imagery as the proof and bullion versions but is usually struck in a lower mintage.

  • This 2023-W Burnished American Silver Eagle coin contains 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
  • The coin is a West Point Mint product.
  • The 40.60 mm diameter coin is the third burnished release of the Type-2 style Silver Eagle.
  • The coin is minted with an innovative interrupted reeded edge to deter counterfeiting.
  • The coin received the highly collectible First Strike designation.
  • The perfectly graded coin is accompanied by a patriotic American flag-themed label.

Spectacular Silver Eagle Design

Obverse: The obverse is graced with an American flag-wrapped interpretation of Lady Liberty. She walks confidently towards the rising sun, while carrying an oak and laurel bouquet. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2023," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the artist's monogram "AW." This rendition of Liberty was created by renowned early 20th-century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, and represents a revival of the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar obverse.

Reverse: The reverse features the vision of an eagle with its wings majestically raised in preparation for landing. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "ONE DOLLAR" and "W." The Type-2 eagle landing graphic is the work of award-winning science and nature illustrator Emily Damstra.
