Powerful Eagle Landing Design by Emily Damstra

Obverse: The obverse bears the historic Walking Liberty design of Adolph Weinman. Liberty is draped in the American flag as she carries laurel and oak branches in the early morning sun. Inscriptions on this face note her name, "LIBERTY," the date, "2023," artist initials, "AW," and the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST." Adolph Weinman was a German immigrant. He was a major contributor to America's early 20th-century numismatic renaissance.

Reverse: Gracing the reverse is a design by Emily Damstra that features an eagle preparing to land with an oak branch in its talons. The bird is encircled by rim inscriptions that provide the name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," the face value of the coin, "ONE DOLLAR," and its metal content, "1 OZ. FINE SILVER." Emily Damstra has an MFA from the University of Michigan. She specializes in scientific and nature illustration.
