Elegant Beauty of the Silver Eagle

Obverse: Lady Liberty is depicted walking towards the rising sun on the obverse while carrying an oak and laurel bouquet, with the flag of the United States draped around her form. The iconic image first appeared on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar designed by early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman.

Reverse: On the reverse, a majestic eagle is illustrated preparing to land, with its wings in a raised position. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and the "W" Mint mark. The Type-2 eagle landing design was created by U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Emily Damstra.
