Breathtaking Silver Eagle Design

Obverse: Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse as a young woman walking towards the rising sun. Ms. Liberty is elegantly draped in the flag of the United States, while holding a bundle of oak and laurel branches, which are emblematic of strength, honor and victory. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "2023," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the artist's monogram "AW." This stunning allegorical interpretation of liberty initially graced the obverse of the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, which was designed by acclaimed early 20th century American sculptor Adolph A. Weinman.

Reverse: On the reverse, an eagle is illustrated grasping a single branch of oak, with is wings gloriously uplifted to slow its descent in preparation for landing. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "ONE DOLLAR." The image is an example of the work of award-winning illustrator Emily Damstra, a U.S. Mint's Artistic Infusion Program artist since 2014.
