Striking Eagle Landing Design by Emily Damstra
Obverse: Adolph Weinman's historic Walking Liberty design returns yet again to the obverse. The morning sun begins to rise as Liberty, draped in the American flag, carries branches. "LIBERTY," the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the date, "2022," are inscribed on this face. Adolph Weinman was a prominent sculptor who contributed several important designs to America's early 20th century numismatic renaissance. His most famous coins were the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: On the reverse, which was designed by Emily Damstra, is an eagle that prepares to land carrying an oak branch. The design is encircled by the rim inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR." Also inscribed just inside those inscriptions is the statutory motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM."H Emily Damstra is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She has made several U.S. coin designs since 2017.

This piece earned Numismatic Guaranty Corporation's (NGC's) highest grade, Proof 70 (PR 70), which means that it appears perfect under 5x magnification. It was also certified Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Releases (FR). The UC designation indicates that it exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, while the FR designation credits the piece for the fact that it was submitted for grading within 30 days of its initial release from the mint.
