Featuring Emily Damstra's Patriotic Eagle Landing Design
Obverse: Adolph Weinman's iconic Walking Liberty design graces the obverse. The morning sun begins to rise as Liberty carries branches of laurel and oak. Obverse inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2022." Adolph Weinman played a central role in the early 20th century American numismatic renaissance. He was an immigrant from Germany and a prominent sculptor.
Reverse: An eagle prepares to land with an oak branch with its wings spread and an oak branch in its talons on the reverse. The image was designed by Emily Damstra. Rim inscriptions offer the name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," the coin's face value, "ONE DOLLAR," and its metal content, "1 OZ. FINE SILVER." Emily Damstra earned her M.F.A. from the University of Michigan. Her designs have been appearing on US coinage since 2017.
Impeccable PF70 UC FDI with Black Core Holder and Exclusive .999 Silver Eagle Label
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) graded this piece Proof 70, which means that it appears perfect even under 5x magnification. They also certified the coin Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Day of Issue (FDI). The UC designation means that it exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, and also earned the First Day of Issue (FDI) designation. This information is provided on an exclusive .999 Silver Eagle label, and the coin comes set in a sleek black core holder.
