Surrounding inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "2022" and the artist's "AW" monogram. This powerful personification of Liberty was originally designed for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar by award-winning early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman. Reverse: An eagle is depicted on the reverse, with its wings lifted to slow its descent. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," the "W" Mint mark and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." The Type-2 eagle landing design is credited to Emily Damstra, a U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program member since 2014.
