Featuring the Exquisite Landing Eagle Design of Emily Damstra

Obverse: The obverse bears one of the most iconic designs in American numismatic history, Adolph Weinman’s Walking Liberty. The morning sun emerges from beyond the horizon and shines on Liberty, who carries laurel and oak branches while draped in the American flag. Obverse inscriptions include the central figure’s name, “LIBERTY,” the national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the date, “2022.” Adolph Weinman immigrated to the United States from Germany. He was a prolific sculptor and designed two of the most famous coins in American history, the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the Mercury Dime.

Reverse: Emily Damstra’s reverse design features a bald eagle landing with an oak branch in its talons. It is encircled by three rim inscriptions, which include the issuing country’s name, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” the coin’s face value, “ONE DOLLAR,” and its metal content, “1 OZ. FINE SILVER.” “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is also inscribed on this face just inside the rim inscriptions. Emily Damstra earned an MFA at the University of Michigan. She has contributed designs for several American coins since 2017.

Virtually Flawless MS69 with Brown Label

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) awarded this piece a Mint State 69 grade, the company’s second highest, which means that the coin looks perfect to the unaided eye. This grade is provided on a brown label.
