A Release Remembering the Legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
This release features the familiar effigy of Queen Elizabeth II which now represents her final year in power. Reigning for 70 years and 214 days, Queen Elizabeth II was in power longer than any British monarch. Additionally, her govern is recorded as the second-longest verified reign of any sovereign in history.
Appearing on coins from at least 45 countries, more than any other individual, Queen Elizabeth II has had a strong influence on numismatics for many years. Issued in 2022, this release marks the final year of the Queen’s reign and possibly the last year this well-recognized effigy will ever appear on a legal tender coin.

Classic Red Kangaroo Image
Reverse: The reverse was designed by famed numismatic artist Stuart Devlin. The design has appeared on Australian issues since the sixties. The image is that of a male Red Kangaroo pictured mid-hop. The coin is inscribed with “Australian Kangaroo” and “2022 1 oz .9995 Fine Platinum.” The Perth Mint’s coveted “P” mint mark appears at “3 o’clock” in the engraving that encircles the design.
Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the “Fifth Portrait” of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. This standard portrait of the Queen was designed by Jody Clark. The coin is inscribed with “Elizabeth II,” “Australia” and “100 Dollars.”
