Impressively Detailed Patriotic Designs

Obverse: On the obverse of each coin, a classic Liberty design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens is displayed. Liberty is shown with her torch held high and an olive branch in her other hand. The date is in the lower right portion of the design and the sun's rays can be seen in the background.

Reverse: The reverse of each 2022 Gold Eagle shows the recently introduced design by Jennie Norris. Norris brought her talent to the U.S. Mint through their Artistic Infusion Program. This new bald eagle design was introduced for the 35th anniversary of the series in mid-2021 when it replaced the classic Family of Eagles reverse design.

All four coins in this set received the grade of Mint State 70 (MS 70) and the First Day of Issue (FDI) designation from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). These specimens are perfect and were submitted on their release day. Now each one is housed in a stylish black core slab with a label signed by John Mercanti, retired Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint and a prolific coin designer who designed the classic Heraldic Eagle reverse of the American Silver Eagle series.
