Magnificent Homage to the Norse God Loki
Obverse: A right facing portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is located on the obverse. Inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II," "2022," "COOK ISLANDS," "1 DOLLAR," "2 OZ" and "AG 999." The effigy is the work of acclaimed British artist Ian Rank-Broadley, who has been a member of the prestigious Royal British Society of Sculptors since 1989.
Reverse: Loki is depicted smiling on the reverse, wearing traditional Norse armor and a horned helmet, surrounded by a menagerie of land, air and sea creatures that the god has transformed into. An intricate Celtic knot pattern frames the partially gilded image, with the inscription "NORSE GODS" above and "LOKI" below.
