Gorgeous Heimdall Imagery
Obverse: An effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is centered on the obverse. Inscriptions include “ELIZABETH II,” “2022,” “COOK ISLANDS,” “1 DOLLAR,” “2 OZ” and “AG 999.” The initials “IRB” are located beneath the portrait, which credit award-winning British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley with the image, which has appeared on the coinage of the Commonwealth realms since 1998.
Reverse: Heimdall is depicted on the reverse, dressed in intricately detailed armor while sounding the Gjallarhorn with a rooster at his side. The god stands upon the Bifrost, which extends towards Asgard in the background. An ornate Celtic knot border surrounds the selectively gilded image, with the inscription “NORSE GODS” above and “HEIMDALL” below.
