Obverse: The obverse features a delightful panda at play with a tree branch, an image that first appeared on the 2014 Chinese Panda series release. A gold-toned disc positioned prominently below the branch showcases the official seal of the ANA. The English and Mandarin Chinese inscription “1 OZ. PT .999” curves above the image, with the date of issue “2022” below.
Reverse: A stunning view of the Chicago skyline and the Navy Pier as seen from Lake Michigan is depicted on the reverse. When aligned with the reverse of the 2021 ANA Show Panda medal, a complete panoramic image of the lakefront city is revealed. “CHICAGO THE WINDY CITY” is elegantly inscribed above, with “WORLD’S FAIR OF MONEY ANA 2022” in the water’s surface below, in English and Mandarin Chinese characters.
