Stunning Desert Scorpion Design

Obverse: A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II that was designed by Jody Clark graces the obverse. She wears her Royal Diamond Diadem, as well as earrings and a necklace, as she faces right with her shoulders open to the holder. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," is inscribed along the rim, as are the name of the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," the date of the coin, "2022," and its face value, "1 DOLLAR."

Reverse: The hot Australian sun beats down on a desert scorpion on the reverse. The creature's name, "DESERT SCORPION," is noted on the left. Near the bottom of this face is another inscription that note's the coin's weight and purity, reading, "1 OZ .999 SILVER."

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) set this coin in a sleek black core holder and provided its grading information on a label that bears an image of one of Australia's most famous landmarks, the Sydney Opera House. NGC graded the coin Mint State 70, which means that it appears perfect as seen under 5x magnification. NGC certified it First Releases, which means that it was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint.
