Striking Eagle Landing Design by Emily DamstraObverse: Adolph Weinman's famous Walking Liberty design features on the obverse, as it has since this series began. As the early morning sun begins to rise, an American flag draped Liberty carries laurel and oak branches. Her name, "LIBERTY," is inscribed on this face, as are the date, "2022," and the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST." Augustus Saint-Gaudens was an Irish-born sculptor who immigrated to the United States. He is most famous for designing the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the Mercury Dime. Reverse: The reverse design, which was introduced in mid-2021, features a bald eagle landing with an oak branch in its talons. Designed by Emily Damstra, it is joined by the statutory inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM," which is on the right. Rim inscriptions read, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR," and "1 OZ. FINE SILVER." Emily Damstra has designed coins for both the US Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint. She has also designed stamps.
