Classic Liberty and Modern Bald Eagle DesignsObverse: This side of the coin features a classic design by Adolph A. Weinman. This work of art is known as Walking Liberty. The design was particularly popular during its time in circulation on the half dollar in the early 1900s. The stars and stripes are wrapped around Liberty as she walks with one arm outstretched. Starting in mid-2021, Weinman's artist initials, "AW," starting appearing on the obverse of Silver Eagles. Reverse: The stunning new Type 2 reverse is the work of Emily Damstra. The sheer level of detail present on the bald eagle in this design takes some time to really observe.
