Striking Eagle Design by Jennie Norris
Obverse: The Saint-Gaudens design of Double Eagle fame graces the obverse. A strong wind blows Liberty's garment as she stands in a strong wind holding her torch and an olive branch. Her name, "LIBERTY," joins the date, "2022," among the obverse inscriptions. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was an Irish-born sculptor who immigrated to the United States. His Double Eagle is considered the most beautiful coin in American history.
Reverse: The reverse bears a left-side profile of an eagle that was designed by Jennie Norris and sculpted by Renata Gordon. The two statutory mottoes, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," are inscribed above the image. Encircling all of this are the rim inscriptions, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "25 DOLLARS," and "1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD. Jennie Norris made her numismatic debut with this design in mid-2021. She is a graphic designer, an illustrator, and an award winning fine artist.
