Why purchase this Brilliant Uncirculated 500 Yuan 2021 30 g Gold Panda bullion coin?
The China Mint has produced the Gold Panda series since 1982, each year featuring a delightful, newly designed image of the cherished native creature of China. The Mint introduced a focused ten-year "series within a series" in 2019, dedicated to following a panda as it grows from baby cub to maturity.
Heartwarming Panda Imagery
Obverse: The obverse features an impressive view of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing from the plaza below. A thick frame encircles the image containing the inscriptions "2021" and "People's Republic of China" in Chinese characters.
Reverse: A mother panda reaches up to protect her tree-climbing cub on the reverse. The inscriptions "30 g Au .999" and "500 Yuan" are tucked near the tree's abundant foliage. The enchanting family scene is the work of Chinese artist Tong Fang, who is also credited with the design of the first Panda life story release in 2019.
