Breathtaking Type-2 Silver Eagle Design
Obverse: Lady Liberty is featured on the obverse wrapped in an American flag, while walking towards the rising sun. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2021.” For the first time in the history of the Silver Eagle series, the initials “AW” appear beneath the motto, crediting the time-honored, patriotic image to Adolph A. Weinman, one of the most prolific sculptors of the early 20th century. This personification of Liberty appeared on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar from 1916-1947.
Reverse: An eagle is depicted in descending flight on the reverse, with an oak branch in its grip. Inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “ONE DOLLAR” and “W.” The gorgeously detailed rendition of the national bird was created by Emily Damstra, a 2014 and 2017 recipient of the venerated Coin of the Year (COTY) award.

This 2021-W Type-2 American Silver Eagle proof coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) for review within thirty days of its release date and determined to be in flawless Proof 70 Ultra Cameo (UC) condition.
